Rewell Society has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thaki, a non-profit organization, registered in Holland, to help spread digital skills and make available competitive education tech tools for underprivileged Jordanians.

Rewell's effort builds on its pioneering solid experience in Jordan in the acquisition and repair of computers, which it then donates to orphanages and civil society centers. Through this partnership, the Charity will bring Thaki’s digital literacy tools and platform to schools and learning centres, serving refugee and vulnerable communities.

The two parties would participate in collecting out-of-service laptops, which they’ll rehabilitate, and load with a cultural educational platform. The refurbished devices will then be donated. Since 2022, 56 laptops have been distributed, with 18 new ones being prepared to date.

“Our circular economy model takes donated and used computer hardware and edtech software, and delivers these vital learning tools to schools that cater to refugee and vulnerable children in the Middle East,” Thanki states on its website (https://thaki.org).
