Rewell Society Collaborates with Tamweelcom to Promote Financial Literacy
Rewell Society, in collaboration with the Jordan Microfinance Company "Tamweelcom", has coordinated a program titled "Financial Literacy and Awareness". This program targets women who run small businesses in the Jordan Valley.
The program aims to disseminate financial literacy and transfer the necessary skills for managing daily financial affairs and financial resources to small business owners. The first session was held in Khazma/Deir Alla in the Middle Jordan Valley at the Wadi Development Association and was attended by 43 women business owners, as well as others from the local community.
Hazem Melhem, Executive Committee Chairperson at Rewell Society, commented, saying: “Disseminating financial knowledge is of paramount importance for those who run small businesses; the acquired skills will help them build more viable businesses, as well as the ability to develop their businesses in the future."
For his part, Bassem Khanafer, CEO of "Tamweelcom", expressed his happiness with this cooperation, which aims to enhance and build the capacities of the target groups, especially entrepreneurs and young owners of small and micro-enterprises, so that they can make sound financial decisions.
