The story behind this project begins with a woman’s ambition to learn a craft, build her own business, and pass her skills on to others.

This craftsperson began her training in Turkey, learning Telkari, the delicate art of shaping fine silver wire into jewellery and accessories. She now plans to continue her training in Egypt as she works towards establishing her own project.

What excites us at Rewell Society is the possibility that her ambition holds for others, too. With further training and experience, she hopes to teach this craft, opening a path for more people to learn and earn.

We provided initial support in 2026 because we believe this is a beginning worth nurturing: one woman developing a skill that could become her livelihood and, in time, an opportunity she shares.

Rewell Society launches its projects on proven concepts; they are simple and easy to set up; they build on local knowledge and skills and require little funding to start. Your donations will provide underprivileged Jordanian families the opportunity to generate income and expand their skills.
